Technical Writer
PaxeraHealth, a medical imaging and AI software development industry leader working on cutting-edge technology, is looking for a Technical Writer to join our team.
The ideal candidate is an excellent writer, who adapts well with changing priorities in a fast-paced, applications development environment. He/she is able to convey technical concepts in simple, clear instructions with detailed visual aids such as screenshots, charts, and diagrams. He/she will be intimately familiar with the product features and functionalities.
This person will be responsible for writing user-friendly documentation about highly technical subjects for both technical and non-technical audiences, including product manuals, user guides, release notes, conformance statements, and specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Understands and accurately translates technical information for a general audience and various healthcare, clinical, and medical imaging application user personas
- Plans, develops, organizes, writes, proofreads, and edits written materials such as application guides, system manuals, product release notes, product integration guides, conformance statements, specifications, and other product and operational documentation
- Produces dynamic, electronic documentation in addition to hard copy manuals
- Maintains a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation
- Analyzes and formats documentation to maintain continuity of content style
- Manages timely updates and revisions to technical literature
- Determines the needs of end users of technical documentation
- Uses photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts that increase users understanding of content
- Creates scripts for video tutorials
- Creates comprehensive user assistance documentation, including how-to sections, FAQs, and Help sections
- Works closely with subject matter experts, engineers, developers, data scientists, and product teams
- Standardizes content across platforms and media
- Assists with content for blogs, social media, website, case studies, and other product and marketing tools
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in English, Technical Writing, Journalism, Marketing/Communications, or related field
- Two years of experience as a Technical Writer responsible for writing, publishing, and managing help content
- Experience synthesizing feedback and input from multiple stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail
- Proven experience prioritizing writing projects and activities in a time-constrained setting with simultaneous deadlines
- Must be proficient in document development and management software skills including Microsoft Office, Adobe, HTML
- Must have demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills and have the ability to effectively and independently manage a large workload with minimal supervision
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and driving toward clarity and solutions
Preferred:
- Four or more years of technical writing experience
- Experience writing Markdown for easier conversion to HTML and PDF
- Past experience with healthcare applications; medical imaging would be a bonus
- Strong knowledge of medical anatomy and terminology
- Understanding of clinical workflows; medical imaging would be a bonus
- Experience with AI prompt writing
